If you check my previous posts, I pointed this out when NOT first announced their hiring of Chief Nolan. I said it would probably come back to haunt them that they went out of province to find advisors instead of going to the people that matter.

I'm glad to hear that Webequie Logistics is not using the people of Webequie for their own personal gain. I too am dissapointed that much of the flying was going to out of province airlines. But because of the monopoly created by the two companies in question, there are other local companies who are being shut out as well. If you believe that NOT should hire locally, which they should, then other local companies should not be shut out of the action.

From what I can tell all of you is that Goodleeye as well as myself and a few others warned about Noront bringing in a group from Alberta to deal with Native issues in Ontario.

What is occurring is that the work is NOT being evenly didtributed when you consider that I have mentioned before that there is some friction between the two bands. I will lmention this again. This is the way it was told to me. Googleeye is up there so take preference to what he says.

FWR uses the Webequie Logistics. Last I heard they were having no problems. Things could have changed though.

Noront does NOT use Marten Falls Logistics. Pehaps they should have. Even though Billiken hires First Nations!!!! This is the crux. Their share of the pie will be the mediators solution.

I have seen a computer full of pictures of oil drums sinking into the muskeg as well as other things.

There are things going on up there that the Native Community has a right to make noise about. If they do not stop this now it well get worse.

Noront was aware this issue was coming to a head. From what I understand, they had caches or stock piles of material and fuel with the intent of flying everything in via Hercules on the ice.

It looks lilke Noront was found out.

I am going to tell you all now that the pictures I have seen do not set the companies up there in a very good light.

Googleye is right. Noront made a big mistake with the team from out west. Some of them haven't been seen since they got a cheque from what I understand. We require local representation.
