Vermillion asks "Why is the price moving down on so few shares? Who is really Buying and Selling?"
IMO, the institutions took their positions in the runup from mid July to mid Aug, and again accumulated from mid Nov to mid Dec of last year. They are now poised to wait it out for the time being. The rest of the time has been dominated by the retail trade. The wide fluctuations in the price are par for the course in resource stocks, as the confidence at the margin ebbs and flows. It is the nature of these markets.
I suggest that you take the advise of those who counsel to sit patiently, wait, and ignore the daily perturbations that frequently afflict these markets, or see them as opportunities as I do.
I suspect that this is what your mentor Couger would advise.
