it is easy to keep the sp down without collusion. The simple selling off of a few shares to neutralize the upward move and create doubt about the sp direction is enough to quell momentum. Then the news becomes yesterday's news and peoples jets cool and they wait .... until certain others are ready for the move up. And in the interim..... accumulation takes place over the days.
