Landing drills on locations

I watched a TV show on the same type of thing last night and laughingly told my wife how tame it was in comparison to the insanity during the late 70's & early 80's during the gasoline crisis when I worked the Alberta Oil Patch (denying my undergraduate degree for the $$$) as a field engineer when cost was no issue and making hole was all there was to life. Literally, all there was ... A house was in Red Deer was worth one high school grad's year's salary

The stuff on TV now is the politically correct version of what used to be a darwinian survival industry.

I look at the choppers, the float planes, camps and the hearty guys working at the RoF and believe it is the same there now as it was here then.
