I would take what Premier McGuinty (is to say) in the Throne Speech, with a few grains of political salt. He is on the hot seat and these words are largely a diversion.

Nevertheless, it is promotion for the ROF and raises its publiic profile. This in turn raises the stakes in the game vis a vis the FN and other players. Hopefully governmental services will be more open and receptive with respect to ROF companys' initiatives and applications in the future.

In the past, I have been a bit critical of NOT's efforts to establish relationships with the FN, though they certainly seem to deserve an 'E' for effort. Especially when viewed beside the vastly huger issue of provincial/FN relationships where our current government has failed to get their arms around the issue, losing credibility with both FNs and much of the public. I like McGuinty, he is a nice person, but seems to be somewhat over-awed with the job and listening to the wrong people. But then, who could do better?

Sorry, Saturday night musings -- should have gone out.

Best to all NOT longs,

O.F.
