I think at this stage it is not wise to dispute your comparison...the ROF is a huge expanse and no-one has punched enough holes uet to refute the argument.

if it turns out to be an Oilsands, many of us will be happy campers in spite of palm greasing and government subterfuges...It will no doubt take a lot of green grease to make it all come together, and it will be good for Canadians as long as there is balance to the equation Sustainable $= environment + industry and I believe with todays tech we can have both. I digress--your analagy may be right on.
