Rapidrob: When I say I day trade what do you think I mean - Yes, exactly what you just stated. Like minds think alike,lol.

My only fault, if it is a fault, is that I only use about 10% of my hold for this. If I were really smart I would probably use about a third. But I am fairly cautious so do not risk much - hence not so smart.

I also do not trade all ten percent at a time. Ten percent is the total but it is done 500 to a 1000 shares at a time, several times as the price continues on a trend and then same when it reverts.

My second 'mistake' is in not perceiving how far the trend will last and often become dry of funds before the trend ends.

Technicals? Humbug. I am an engineer by profession, how more technical can one get. The so called TA is nothing technical, it is rather poor numerical analysis of history. Not very applicable to the market whims.
