I am involved in 2 deals like Wes myself at the moment. One requires a one hour a week conference call. The other requires a day a month. In the case of the second one, my employer gets compensation as well. If you put in 60+ hours a week, it is difficult for your employer to complain about an hour a week for something else. In both cases my initimate knowledge of the issues saves them enormous amounts of time and money.
