It seems to me that a share buy-in would not focus on the major's objective which should be to acquire or control resource. So, are you talking the first step of a creeping takeout, (Like CLF/KWG) or a definitive JV ? With these majors, it will most certainly be one or the other. It seems to me we likely head toward a JV due to the existing market cap and large blue sky exploration value built into that M/C.
