I think i answered my own question.They want to see if this all links up.Page 28 shows entry point widening of magma chamber around 1700m mark.If this is the case we would find this out earlier than expected, would we?This would be the reasoning for going 2km in this direction.

P.S i have no idea what the hell a magma chamber is, nevermind the entry point to it.I am thinking it has to be good though.
