Hi, Scarff- I truly appreciate your efforts trying to engage the OSC. I am not at all encouraged by this paragraph in their response to you:
"OSC staff will consider a number of criteria in evaluating the urgency of the situation, including the detrimental impact on the markets and continuing risks presented by the activities you have alleged, the number of investors affected or at risk, the value of losses, and whether the alleged improper activity is ongoing."
I wish that I could read this any other way than "manipulation of Noront is too small for us to even consider worthwhile looking into", and "you will never know whether we diddly-squat about it", but that's my take-away. So how to invest successfully in such an environment? For one, keep fighting for what's right (and a big "Thanks" to you for taking up the fight directly!), and buy on the lows, however they get "manufactured". What I have to watch in myself is "irrational exuberance". It's perfectly recognizable in hindsight, like the purchases I made at around $2.75 back in August 2009.
I keep on accumulating, bacause my DD says that this stock is a great long-term investment, especially at these prices and with Noront's known prospects.
