Jun. 1, 2010 (TheNewswire.ca) --

Toronto, June 01, 2010 - Hawk Uranium Inc. (OOTC:HWKPF) (TSXV:HUI) (TSX-V:HUI, FRANKFURT:HPM, PINK-OTC:HWKPF)("Hawk" or the "Company") recommends to its shareholders the May 31, 2010 announcement by MacDonald Mines Exploration (TSXV:BMK) Ltd. (TSX-V:BMK)("MacDonald") on the discovery of a "Potential New VMS Camp" on the McNugget Property, James Bay Lowlands, Ring of Fire Area, Northern Ontario. Drill hole MN 10-111 (900 Azimuth/ -650 Dip/ 124.97m Depth) that was drilled to test VTEM anomaly N-32 had a 14.94m massive sulphide intersection. This anomaly strikes directly onto the the Hawk/McNugget JV Ground - see map attached below. Assay results are pending. The Hawk/MacDonald - McNugget JV Property is a joint venture property with MacDonald covering 6 contiguous claims, or approximately 1,554 hectares, in the James Bay Lawlands, Ring of Fire Area of Northern Ontario. Hawk has a 36.75 % interest in this joint venture, with the remaining interest held by MacDonald, who also acts as operator on the project.

Hawk also announces that line-cutting has commenced over the previously drilled MN 07-39 (0.36% Ni over 4.5m and 0.26% Ni over 27.0m) in preparation for a ground Pulse EM Survey by Crone Geophysics of Mississauga, Ontario that targeted VTEM anomaly N-25 (see BMK News Release, November 13, 2007). Hawk anticipates that drilling these geophysical targets on the Hawk/McNugget JV Property will take place by the end of June 2010.

Hawk also announces that down-hole pulse EM Surveys in 4 diamond drill holes on two (2) out of the seven (7) the 100% owned properties, namely the Baltic 1/Crossroads and the Baltic 2/Caribou, recently acquired from Canadian Orebodies Inc (TSXV:CO) (see HUI News Release, May 11, 2010) has been completed by Crone Geophysics of Mississauga, Ontario and Hawk is presently awaiting detail interpretation before designing additional follow-up exploration work in 2010.
