Message: Re: Wes Hanson focuses on Eagle’s Nest after losing chromte battle

I do not see the winter road system as practical for mining in the region due to reliable transportation for only 3 months of the year and it is fairly expensive transportation. For exploration it is sufficient but not for competitive mine production.

Having the largest claim hold, the best finds are very likely still in the future.

Being on best relationship with the natives means that Wes has to be extra carefull environmentally and future job wise to maintain that status.

So it is no surprise to me that he poo hoo's on Cliffs' open pit chromite proposal. I suspect that the open pit will not fly well with Ontario government and environmentalists in particular.
