Thanks, Edgy - good thoughts, and well-presented. And i hope you're right! :)

I guess the cases of SH's who don't sell on an initial offer and end up with LESS after that is pretty rare? But i think that i have seen it happen sometime in the past - that's why i was thinking of possibly going for the initial offer when it happens. Yet, I suppose that's not very likely to happen in this case -- that bids will only get higher as the news gets out, and public awareness of this company's holdings grow, and competitive bidders join in. So i'll have to try to hold in there for the final offer as you suggest!
