VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/03/10 -- Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: FNC): Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of John Harvey P. Eng. and Ed Thompson, P.Eng. to its newly formed Advisory Board.

Mr Harvey, a consultant to the Company, has been active in the mining industry for fifty-five years and most recently shared the responsibility for the remarkable Noront Resources Ltd. mineral discoveries in Northern Ontario. He runs his own geological consulting firm and is V.P. of Exploration for a number of junior companies. Mr. Harvey spent most of his professional career with Noranda Inc., including positions as President of Hemlo Gold Mines Ltd. and Noranda Exploration Company Ltd.

Ed Thompson has vast experience in mining exploration and development, beginning with the Keevil Mining Group (now Teck Corp.), President of Lacana Mining Corp. and later President of the Canadian division of Minorco-Anglo American Group. More recently he has been Chairman/President/Director of some 20 mineral exploration companies. He is a former President of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and is currently Treasurer and a Director of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
