At the beginning of the year I was very excited to be able to contribute to my RRSP's at a price of 1.88. I remember buying at $4 and $5 and $6 and also at .55 cents.

This morning shortly before 10:00 I purchased 20,000 more shares @ 1.31. I had to sell some mutual funds from my RRSP account . I am very pleased at my 1.31 purchase.

I wish I had done this sooner. But, I didn't realize how long it takes to transfer funds from one institution (that didn't offer self directed RRSP's to another that did.) After the appointment, and paper work and mailing and the opening of a new account and FINALLY the selling of these mutual funds (which finally happened yesterday afternoon!) Today, I was FINALLY able to buy. As I look at the price now perhaps it would have been better to wait a bit but I am not greedy. I was happy with my 1.88 purchase in January and to buy 20,000 more shares at 1.31 for my RRSP account is a much better deal than I previously had at the beginning of the year.
