I have no suggestions of a model let alone a better one. I presume that many, much like me, are using the share price manipulation theory more as a psychological safety blanket instead of actually being convinced of the fact.
Having said that I like that theory because I do not have a better explanation nor imo heard of one ( recognized one?).
When I see things going on that are against my assessment and knowing that I can do nothing about it, I do try to adapt.
One of my adaptations is short term trading of a portion of my share hold to take advantage of the grossly reduced share price. This is especially necessary for me when the long hold is in the red ( average price $1.97 ) and I have nothing else to be cheerful about.
