Much has been posted with respect to the Far North Act ....Bill 191....and the FN. This provincial legislation affectively removes any possibility of future developement in 42% of Northern Ontario. In my experiance, goverment policy, while well intentioned can quite often have unintended consequences.

As a Noront shareholder for quite a few years, I feel very fortunate that the ROF district is inside the designated area that the goverment has dictated to be suitable for developement. I also feel fortunate that our local FN cheifs are in favour of mining developement......BUT.....

What about the FN people who live and want to work in the area that is being chosen to be NOT suitable for mining or developement. I don't know all the issues that Chief Beardy knows but, maybe he is digging in his heels in order to give the people in the NO developement zone an equal opportunity as well. Thoughts??
