I have no knowledge of what the Ontario and Federal Governments may be planning for Webequie.

But I thought there had been studies and more regarding bringing a hydro corridor through Webequie and that it might eventually become a source of energy for ROF companies? Was this just a rumour? Or a tentative plan since shot down?

Apparently a major project is underway to provide diesel electric power for Webequie, with surplus capacity possibly becoming available for ROF developments. This would seem to rule out a hydro corridor unless it is a better way to service other Northern settlements than a diesel generating plant could. I always thought hydro generated electricity had a big edge over diesel generated.

Anyone have more concrete info on this? It's an interesting field for conjecture.
