Message: Why so long?

I personally find any discussion of a comparison to the events in Chile to our drilling efforts quite appalling.

We are in search of wealth, and our efforts are controlled by how much we, as shareholders, are prepared to ante up in search of this wealth.

The huge effort taking place in Chile is quite the opposite. It is an effort aimed totally at saving human lives, in a situation that has no precedents.

There are likely very few, if any, on this forum, that have actually even been 700m down in a hole, eking out a living for their families, and always having the knowledge that something like this could actually happen at any time. That it did happen, and that the safety standards in the mine provided a sanctuary for them, and that the world outside cared enough to put the effort into their recovery, regardless of the cost, should serve to make any miner, and particularly the drillers responsible for this success, proud to be in the industry they are.

Enough said, as they still have to get out of there tonight and tomorrow morning. I, for one, am keeping an active vigil on the situation, and will worry about NOT's Sp later

Best regards

K
