I don't know what the excitement over the price of gold is, really.

The last time that we were seeing such extreme levels in gold was early 2008, and we all know what followed that. If our global market conditions were better now, then I would have more confidence in this gold boom.

Now, I could be missing something here, but the big picture tells me that this is a gold bubble, not a new and sustainable boom.
