As I took it upon myself to run golf tournaments the last 3 years, using the Agoracom forums to promote it and also receiving prize donations from Agoracom for the golf tournaments, I feel that it is necessary for me to state the following.
I have had absolutely no involvement in any of the allegations, findings and decisions made in the OSC settlement with Agoracom. My intentions for the golf tournaments were and will always be, very honorable. I value the trust that has been put in me and the friendships that I've gained, by many members of the Agoracom community and I would never jeopardize that for any reason.
And while I don't feel that my PM's were anything earth-shattering, I too feel that my privacy has been somewhat compromised. In future, I may be using emails more often. Although, I guess that any saavy hacker could view anything on our computers, if they really wanted to.
I am not suggesting for a minute, that George and Agoracom are computer hackers. Not in the least. But what they got caught for, pales in comparison to what some computer hackers do to the internet sites around the world. That doesn't justify anything, but this is a common occurence on the internet.
Everyone should be wary of what they say in a public forum anyways. Or in a PM on a public forum. I've always wondered why people post so much personal info. on Facebook. It's akin to taking your clothes off in a grocery store on Saturday afternoon.
Anyways, I have and always have had only one poster name and it is Stratopod.
respectfully,
strato
