Message: Update from Vale, no interest in ROF

This article mentions "a re-evaluation of the previously suspended Copper Cliff Deep project targeting 126 million metric tons of ore in and around the community of Copper Cliff; Creighton Mine, where drilling has yielded impressive results at depth with ore down to 10,000 feet"

Now that's some serious tonnage. Anyone know the details (grades, feasibility, economics) of that deposit?

I'd like to think that Vale would like to have the ROF ore which seems to be within reach of the Sudbury operations. Do they really need it, other than to keep it out of someone else's hands? Wasn't that part of the reason for Inco's purchase of Voisey's bay - to sustain their market share, and keep it out of competitors hands?

Please understand, I really hope there's a bidding war for NOT, cause I'm still counting on big things from my NOT shares! Just trying to understand how it might come to be.
