He told me this was better working weather than in the rain. Until you work in the wet stuff, you don't know how cold wet can be.

I work in silviculture for part of each year. -2 Celsius is much, much better than +2 if there is precipitation. Snow doesn't stick to you when you're working out in the elements for 12 hours, so you stay a lot drier and therefore a lot warmer.
