Message: Who gets the smelter???? continued part 2

I have no idea what goes into Chromite smelters, but I wonder if it is all that different from base metal smelting. If it is why not look at either Xstrata's Met site in Timmins, or Xstrata's Smelter in Belledune once Brunswick mine shuts down. I would imagine refurbishing an existing smeter would be a lot cheaper then the estimated 2 Billion dollars to build a new one.
