Message: Who gets the smelter???? continued part 2

Edgy, here are the approximate distances.

Nakina to SSMarie = 370 miles

Nakina to Thunder bay = 800 miles via Winnepeg

Nakina to Thunder bay = 550 miles two carriers CNR and CPR

Nakina to Timmins = 420 miles Two carriers CNR and ONR

Nakina to Sudbury = 440 miles

As I stated in another post remember you have the additional costs to transport the finished ferrochrome from the smelter, to the USA.

Hence Timmins would end up being the costliest.
