TORONTO, April 20 /CNW/ - Noront Resources Ltd. ("Noront" or the "Company") (TSX Venture: NOT) is pleased to announce that they have engaged the services of Micon International Limited. (Micon) as the lead consultant for the feasibility study on the McFaulds Lake Project.

Micon is recognized as an international leader in mineral project development, particularly in the areas of feasibility studies and developing technical reports supporting project financing. The main focus of the project will be the early development and operation of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper-PGE deposit.

Noront, in conjunction with Micon, is reviewing proposals from other engineering firms with respect to various aspects of the project. Noront expects that the remaining engineering contractors on the project team will be engaged shortly and Noront will report on such selections as they occur. Although the other consultants will provide engineering in their specific area of expertise, Micon will review their work and include the findings in a comprehensive NI 43-101 report. This report is expected to be complete by early to mid 2011.
