You are absolutely correct. To me the impact that CPAWS and others like them will have, is to drag the projects out for more years then it should take. Their goal is and always has been to use the Environmental Assesment Act to slow the approval process down. They do this for every project that is ever suggested for Northern Ontario. These groups are very effective at that and frequently get a sympathetic ear from the media and have a great deal of support from a concerned but misinformed public.
