Message: Reality Check

I for one am prepared to wait and have been a holder of NOT and other ROF shares for the last four years. Some 3 years ago I posted on this Board that my shares were for my Grandchildren. As one who is almost 70 that is still my reason for holding. I lose no sleep over what the share price is this year or next. I firmly believe in the future there will be 5 or 6 mines in the ROF and Noront or someone who buys them out will be running at least one of those mines.

There clearly is good reason to be concerned about the environment and in Canada these concerns are usually dealt with in a fair but slow manner. It is the hard core environmentalist protectionist type people that will delay these projests for years. These people have the ear of government and what will eventually come to pass just takes longer then it should. Cliffs plan to be mining by 2015 IMO will not happen that fast, mining in the James Bay Lowlands will happen, it will just be sometime well past 2015.

The Natives affected are not done protesting or demanding more. They will hold meetings and consultations with anybody and everybody to ensure they get what they feel is coming to them. This will all take time. Even with an Ontario election this year the government will move at a snails pace. It has been 11 months since the government committed 45 million dollars for the ROF. To this point they have done very little and by the time money is needed to train Native people to work in these mines most of the 45 million will be gone and much of it will have ended up in a Whiteman's pocket.

Despite all this I will continue to wait because eventually things will come to pass in the ROF, it will just not happen as fast as some would like.
