Ring of Fire co-ordinator to attend Greenstone conference

By tbnewswatch.com

Greenstone residents will have an opportunity next week to meet face-to-face with Ontario's Ring of Fire co-ordinator.

The Greenstone Economic Development Corporation is hosting a Ring of Fire conference Thursday in Longlac. Mining industry representatives, including officials from Cliffs Natural Resources, have also been invited to attend.

Christine Kaszycki, the Ministry of Northern Development Mines and Forestry’s Ring of Fire co-ordinator will be the keynote speaker. The executive director of the GEDC, Dina Quenneville, says mining companies with significant discoveries in the McFaulds's Lake area will also be giving project updates.

Information on economic development opportunities will also be part of the agenda.

The conference takes place Thursday at the Longlac Legion Hall from 1 to 5p.m.

Best to all,

mynot
