I say congratulations to the First Nations!
The First Nations may be the only hope for Canada to keep the valuable processing plant, huge numbers of jobs, and huge additional revenues that would be derived from a local processing plant located in Canada.
With the only Worldwide motherload of all chromium deposits sitting near surface with very cheap comparitive extraction expenses, Cliff's will easily be able to remain competitive while absorbing the cost of paying Canadian wages for a processing facility in Canada, instead of sending it to some third world work force and paying $.95 an hour for labor.
But Canada must solve their electricity bottle neck and come up with a viable rate structure in return.
I am from the US, but am pulling for Canada to retain manufacturing for the good of Canada and the Canadian people, including the first nations. Look what's happened to the US! We vitually don't make anything here anymore, and we are already paying dearly for that mistake now and far into the future.
