Yeah well, at last report, there is something like13,000k oil pipelines across northern Alberta and B.C.. Although there is considerable difference in viscosity with oil as compared to a slurry, temperature is still a big factor. Lots of experience out there to deal with it.
At any rate, what they are presenting here is a workable mining plan going forward, and whether it ever gets to the pipeline being built is another question that will likely be answered by the owners at the time. I was actually more doubtful of the idea of a ramp than the pipeline, but am gradually becoming more onside with it as I continue to study the situation.
A ramp would be driven to about the 300m mark, and would become the staging area for all underground activity going forward. This locatiuon would facilitate further deep drilling from a stable environment, which was not possible from surface. It would also allow for initial mining from that depth. It would become the location of the mill complex as well as staging area for infrastructure to depth. I like it.
The idea of a winter road out to Webequie area would be built by local companies, while the all weather road out from there would be built by Gov't. I like it.
Power source would be built near Webequie, and could also supply the town which would ensure favorable response from them.
There are probably plenty of smaller details that we could use to pick this thing to pieces, but all in all, it is a mining plan that could work, and as such it becomes the first one that has been presented to date. The onus now is on the (competition?) to present one that is better. If they do, it will enhance our position further. If they don't we maybe retake our position as king of the ring.
It also puts a bit of a time factor on things, as a winter road would likely be built next winter, and once completed changes everything. If an alternative is going to be considered, someone better get their ducks lined up
I understand there is some considerable investment cash being discussed that would go a long way towards financing this whole project, so it is not just idle chatter going on.
As a further aside, it now becomes fairly obvious why that mooney guy from Marten Falls is unhappy. This plan pretty much leaves them out of the picture completely.
At any rate, I see this release as very positive. Remember the 43-101 is due shortly, and there are assays that will be reported over next couple of months. We could see a very active spring season.
Best regards
