So if we are the best and doing fine....why the need for amalgamation. You can pretty much guarantee that "progress" will not benefit the little guy. I love the smoke screens of "we've been such and such" .... up to now that is. Let's talk about how this really will impact how business is done in Canada. Nothing stays the same for ever. The US position as a world economic power is coming to and end, the east is seeing long standing gov't topple and we now look at all manner of new things coming down the pike. For those putting up the smoke screen of how wonderful we are, lets just watch and see what happens as the world recognizes the need to hord what ever they can get their hands on and moves to acquire as many valuables as they can from what ever country they can take them. This is not a nice game and it's not a warm and fuzzy let's all enjoy our Canadian pride thing. The US corporate sector sold material to the Germans, the Brits made little pacts about how to divi up this and that with the Germans should they win and on and on. There is only profit and loss and what ever flag they conveniently happen to drape over it at the moment. Power only seeks one thing....more of itself and it needs your say so and assets to do it.
