TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Vancouver-based Crowflight Minerals has restarted mining at its Bucko Lake nickel operation in Manitoba, the firm said on Monday.

Crowflight said in early October that it would temporarily halt Bucko Lake to address operational issues, set up its own mining team and buy a new underground mobile mining equipment fleet.

The company is aiming to reach full production levels within three months, interim CEO Kevin Zhu said in a statement.

On April 14, Crowflight said it plans to change its name to Canada Nickel Mining Corp and is planning a share consolidation.

Crowflight is targeting production of around five-million pounds of nickel in 2011 and expects to spend $15-million on equipment, development and a tailings facility expansion this year at Bucko Lake.

Shares in the company rose 12,5% on Monday morning, to C$0,09 apiece.

Chinese-owned King Place Enterprises s Crowflight's biggest shareholder.
