State control?, you borrowed an opinion re the democrats as if they were communists. I am an immigrant, born under a formerly communist flag and I see little similarity with NDP and the commies. (Left homeland partly due to politics, other was poor economy.)

What the NDP might do is institute more controls on the markets and more tightly oversee how companies operate with regard to their shareholders, environment and natives. They are for responsible and true democracy.

Just look south of the border and note the result of freedom gone amuck.

Soviet Union fell apart due to excesses ( leftist) and now it is the good old US of A's turn to feel the excesses of the opposite ( rightist Republican?).

Mediocrity seems to be the happy ground.

(My apology for oversensitive reaction, I see Harper borrowing Republican ideology so am for Liberals, NDP or Greens, anything but rightist or big business control and propaganda.)

I see NDP not as a problem But a possible means towards improvement.

Do you not complain about the lack of market supervision from the OSC? I do.
