Perhaps I should have been more specific regarding ore. Even concentrated it is a lot to haul out and there will still be a huge amount of taillings.

Ore concentration reduces the amount by how much? I suspect it is about half for chromite. The ore from Eagle's Nest may be more but to achieve that would they not need to separate into more than one category of concentrate? Say nickel/copper and the other for PMs.

I am making assumptions about their chemistry because I have no mining knowlege so rely on this forum for comments on that aspect. Many, many thanks to all, Ed.
