I wonder if, as KWG suggests, "going off the grid" might not be something to also consider. I've been doing a bit of reading on small scale nuclear power plants and this might be another avenue to look into. I am sure that the great minds at Cliffs and NOT have looked into this, tho I don't recall it ever being mentioned.

As near as I can fathom, you should be able to get the required half dozen or so small reactors for around a billion, one time shot and they would provide all the power necessary. Or am I "off the grid" Hee Hee.
