Talk's cheap. "Once elected" is a highly manipulative phrase. As has been said before, any party elected or trying to be elected will simply look for the easiest way to impress people with the appearance of financial progress. The north doesn't really much matter to the south as long as they are subservient to it while/if they make money. The votes are still in the south as that is where the population is. Having stated the above, it is very important to manage the north such that Ontario/Canada can weigh strongly in the world economy. I personally don't have much faith in Canadian politicians to do the right thing when faced with offers from off-shore entities. Our history supports that position. We should be holding the world by the tale but our "leadership" has spent more time in adulation of our southern counterparts as they act the part of the wannabe. Perhaps the NOT BOD will show some moxy and set an example of how to create a going concern. There is always that possibility. True Canadian Grit? We wait to see.
