Friends,

Ahhh.... the smell of politics in the Northern air.....everyone looking for their cut of the action.

Truths and Untruths to be spewed until October.

To be honest I cannot comment on the state of affairs North of the border as we have a deplorable model of a functional government here in the U.S.

I do admire the civility of all Canadians including the politicians. I have begun to follow a few of the candidates and can say that a few of them better study up on the subject of mine revenue and the local economy.

Gravelle should be hammering the opposition with a few facts on tax revenue for the North and declare support for a Northern Mining tax stream for directly impacted communties.

First link: Ontario Mining Tax Code (minimal effective rates in place - NOT's mine will prosper)

Second link: Policy study of economic impact (older study but with the increased value of metal prices to reflect today's - NOT's mine will prosper)

Third link: SAMMSA - Sudbury Star article from last month

Hopefully Gravelle and Kazynski are working towards realizing the votes from Webequie and Marten Falls..... I think Noront already has both of these communities on board. Noront hosting Mining Matters camps to begin next week ...( good for relations and in the long run ....NOT's mine will prosper)

Could be we here something from the office on the "permitting process" in the short term.

Warmest regards,

mynot
