You don't go to these events to get any information thats not available to the public. You go to meet fellow investors and some execs of these companies, they can't tell you anything you can't get in a news release. But by talking to them you can get a "feel" for what is happening and if they are in fact enthusistic or not.

I spoke to various execs and get a feeling overall that things are heading in the right direction and that things are progressing as well as can be expected.

Don't expect any overnight share jumps. My impression is that everyone is still positive. There are a number of things that need to be worked out with the gov't, the natives and the companies themselves. This is still a long term hold.

Next year come out and try your hand at prying information out of them, or just come and meet with a great group of people and share stories and a day of fun, it's well worth it.
