Googled up slurry pipe coatings and such and it appears that our slurry pipe is a solution in search of a problem. Lots of engineering work done on these matters already. They line the pipe with certain types of elastomers and what have you, kinda like teflon in a frypan, and butter up a pig once in a while and scoot er down the line and the goo blows through it like poop through a goose.

Sorry if some of my scientific, hi tech explanation is confusing, but that is how we nuclear physicist types engage in discourse.
