SNC-Lavalin estimates that 60 to 70% of the cost of development will be infrastructure,,,its been 50 yrs since a railline of comparable length has been contemplated in North America,,,would be a $2 billion undertaking running 340 km's north from CN rail line near town of Nakina, more than half route is lowlands & will require 53 bridges over land and water,,,

the sand ridges capable of supporting heavy loads will be key to the railroads feasibility,,,the ridge is maybe half a km wide, to the east it could be 600km all bog, to the west probably another 200-300km of all bog,,,this string of sand deposits is very appropriately placed,,,
