Message: Picked the wrong day to go to a conference

"My selfish point of view is that this run up was caused by excited retail from 50-60 and then 2 houses had buy programs kick in once we hit the 60 cent mark."

I would say that this theory would have been a part of the days proceedings, however I would question why it would have gone so far and why there was no selloff at the days end. A 34% rise on nothing and no one really took any profits? That's a bit strange. I've seen the affect that you describe many times but I suspect people bought in because there is an expectation of something important to come and not just "hey the price is going up better jump in". I also noted some pretty slow and careful trades through the day with nothing that I would call a power run. I didn't detect any panic buying so, for me, it looks like the move triggered people who were sitting on the edge waiting for the sign to get in anyway. Will the sp stick or drop some? Will an explanation present itself? We wait to see.
