Khareema, you've spurred some interest with your questions about what they are doing, where and why now, so here was my thought process on Sat morning.
I took a look back into the drill results and noticed that the results of two of the holes released on Sept. 13th 2011 are numbered differently than the others. Specifically NOT-09-1G143 and NOT-09-1G144. I know this is a bit dated now, but this leads me to believe a couple of things:
1) that they drilled these two holes in 2009
2) they knew of this vein of CrO2 in the past as shown by the results of hole NOT-09-1G143
3) for some reason they are (re) releasing the same results.
Originally thinking that since hole NOT-09-1G144 had no significant results they missed the vein with that hole and may have given up at the time. But I decided to dig a bit further back into the 2009 drill program and found something a bit interesting. Firstly they had been following this vein at similar grades for some time (duh... I wasn't invested in NOT in 2009). Who knows why this was left until now to follow up on.... there could be any number of logical reasons which I don't care to speculate on, but at present they are attempting to expand the known resources.
However, back to the point of what I think I've found. In a press release dated July 6th 2009 these same holes had been assayed except that... they are not the same results. In this press release, hole NOT-09-1G143 showed no significant results whereas on the Sept 13, 2011 press release it showed ~14 m at 36% CrO2. Additionally it is clear that there are missing assays for a number of holes from the 2009 drill program which were released later in that year.
I guess the point is a) there are some discrepencies and b) they tend to hold back information... no big deal but interesting none-the-less.
