Dear Mr Lennon

You are reading things in my post that are not there. The extent of U.S. dominence over Canada cannot be debated on emotional grounds. In my opinion (can I have one that differs from yours?) we have little room for substantive departure from the U.S. dictat.

Having spent a long life living from coast to coast to coast within this vast and amazing country and spent many years in both the RCAF and Canadian Army, as I said previously, I am sad that this is so.

You are free, of course, to think what you want on this and any other topic but may I have the temerity to suggest you try to avoid feeling insulted when no insult is intended.
