Just did the 'tour'.
Well, it certainly sounds like the kind of project that emanates vision, harmony, wealth, and setting a new standard for mining projects all over the world.
Unfortunately, in my completely unexperienced and unprofessional opinion (this seems like a good place for that) it also sounds like a mine that's not going to work.
Maybe I'm wearing my Debbie Downer jeans tonight but this granola project with remote power, slurry pipes and robots doing all of the dangerous work sounds like it's one good unforseen incident away from being shut down for ahwile.
It's not like there will be unforseen incidents in the wetlands of Northern Ontario, in the middle of nowhere with no civiliaztion to speak of, is there? I mean hey, the power only goes out in cottage country north of Toronto what.....12-25 times a year?
Part of me thinks there is maybe some poltical craft at work here through the environmental process but is this realistically a project that will work Wes?
I'm reminded of Noront's ground breaking 3D working table touchscreen tablet thing that was also so groundbreaking I can't for the life of me remember what is was called.....and I used the thing at the PDAC.
Anyways, I'm glad I'm not the guy in the scuba gear on the hover craft in the middle of February, going 15m down under the 1m thick ice to fix the solenoid valve on the slurry pipe that was chewed off by a dumb and hungry pickerel.
Hopefully there's enough reality mixed in with NOT's vision....or at least Cliffs will help get the road and rail built.
