It is not just the looney left may I add, if they were all on their own they would not have the clout that they have.

It is also ordinary people who do not, or did not, know the conditions that the natives experience and assume that what they are spoon fed is the truth and nothing but. So it is the support from the general public from southern Ontario ( where I'm from and must at least in part include myself as part of the problem ) that gives the support to the active groups and the political parties. The north is practically unrepresented at Queen's
Park due to the skew from the population that is represented there.

We need to write to our local (southern ) politicians to get used to the idea that they do not just represent their riding but are expected to do the right thing for the province and country as well, on all issues.

Back in the early 1980s I happened to visit a reserve in southern Ontario and while talking to one fellow there I asked how come you folks do not protest the use of the word Indian when referred to you. You are not from India. He was surprised to hear such from a European and said we do. But I heard nothing of the kind, imagine.

I also do not like to use the term Aboriginal, just native Americans, North Americans that means.

We need to be conscious about events around us. This forum like many like it is not only an investment forum but an educational one.
