Tax loss selling need not apply in reality... You need not worry about buying the stock back if one buys in your RRSP or TFSA or even in another account in another insitution... There is not tracking mechanism in place to monitor this.

In todays market who only has one cash account... a re purchase in an RRSP's or TFSA would not impact a sale in the cash account.
