A luncheon was held at the Idylwylde Golf and Country Club this afternoon on the need to pursue timely and reasonable development to create jobs in all regions of Canada.

The Minister of Natural Resources was supposed to deliver a speech, but was held up in Toronto because of the Air Canada Wildcat Strike.

In place, Assistant Deputy Minister, Anil Arora was on hand and spoke about the Ring of Fire.

Arora added that the federal government is working with businesses to create jobs and economic benefits for Canada.
