Did you take a look today to see how many of the trades were crosses by our special friends unknown particularly at the end of the day. I would say this type of activity should be investigated but, it took the US to proscute Conrad Black because, as the US authorities mocked, "Canadian securities authorities have no balls.....(laugh laugh)." The latter comes from a radio interview I heard from the author of a book on Bay Street. It was pointed out that the Canucks didn't want to take on the case. Well the US has it's dirt too but it was interesting that it was said that Canada is not considered a great place to invest as investors are skittish about the lack of regulation and transparency in the investment area. There are those that believe we are seeing a big cleanout by those that have the ability to manipulate the market so that they can get in dirt cheap for the next rally. As it's ever been. This is clearly not a fun time.
